Raditude: What Is It and What Does It Mean?

Weezer has a new album coming out in late October, which I'm completely stoked for, and it, unlike three of its brothers, is not going to be called Weezer. (Remember, Weezer released Weezer, also known as Blue, in 1994; Weezer, also know as green, in 2001; and Weezer, also known as red, in 2008.) Nope, the new albums name is Raditude!

Wait, what? What's raditude?

According to Houghton Mifflin Second College Edition, The American Heritage Dictionary, rad, derivative from the word radical, means "one who advocates political and social revolution," and attitude means "a state of mind or feeling with regard to some matter." Basically, raditude means a state of mind for social revolution?

Heck, lets just sum it up. Raditude means "to have a positive or negative vibe, or, to be awesome!"

Truthfully, it really doesn't matter what raditude means. It's just a fun word, like chillax, to say to someone in conversation. "Hey man, watch your raditude. It's bringing the party down." Or even, "Bobby has such a great raditude. It really lifts this party to a new level."

Either way, it's fun. So go out into the world today, have a good raditude and share this new word with someone you love.
