Obamas Suggestion is First Step Towards Socialism

With a "suggestion" from the White House, General Motors president Rick Wagoner stepped down from his position as CEO in favor of new CEO, Fritz Henderson.

The "suggestion" came from Obama, who said (in a summed-up version), GM has to make changes to their leadership if they want any money from the government.

Obama also said, " Let me be clear: the United States government has no interest or intention of running GM."

All I have to say is you voted for him, America. Now you get to feel his wrath.

Obama's last statement is a disgusting lie. Though I agree that change needed to be made, but when is it the decision, or even "suggestion," of a president to make? Where in America can the government tell you who your CEO should be?

The answerer in a socialistic America. That's where Obama's taking us and he proved it here with his bully tactics over GM.

I have to be honest; this scares the crap out of me. If Obama is brave enough to "tell" a major corporation who their CEO needs to be, what else will he take over? Will he tell Wendy's and McDonald's to start taking pickles of their burgers because he doesn't like them? Or even, if they don't take off the pickles and they ever see financial trouble, he won't be there to help? This is a bully tactic and it stinks.

Now, let me be clear, I hate this whole bailout thing. I think it's a joke. Helping these major corporations by assisting them in financial ventures is not only unfair to the citizens but also to small business. If the government is going to give so much money away, why not "suggest" these major corporations lower their prices, cut all bonuses to those making more than $40K, and give the little people a break.

I am fully aware of the importance of business like GM, Ford, and even (I really hate to say it) Wal-Mart. I am aware they provide many jobs and help keep the economy moving forward, I just don't like all the shady deals being dealt while America's back's turned.

In a whole, America is seeing the first signs of Obama's socialistic plans. I hope you're happy with who you voted for. But when the poop hits the fan, don't come screaming at me, I voted for McCain.

Nice article, comrade.
Seriously, though, the 'S' word is a dirty little secret these days and people are too concerned with their own lives to see what their government is doing to them.
I mean, for them.
That said, any company that takes money from the government has to expect this to happen.
Well done.

Thank you for reading my rant. I see what you're saying and it's so true.

Ryan, a well written artical and I assure you, "you ain't seen nothing yet." His first federal judge nominee is David Hamilton, a former member of the ACLU. In 2005 he issued an order to the Speaker of the Indiana house, to immediately stop "sectarian prayers" and then specifically banned the use of "Christ's name or title."

To make matters worse, in a post-judgment motion for this same
case, Hamilton ruled that prayers said to "Allah" were acceptable!
